• Select words that reflect your work’s core themes
• Use tools like TagCrowd or Word Cloud Generator to identify key terms.
• Consider using Homosaurus for LGBTQ+ content
• Enter the entirety of your abstract into MeSH On Demand to identify terms
• Search single topical terms in the MeSH Thesaurus
• Consider adding geographic terms (e.g., “Oregon,” not just “United States”)
• For systematic reviews, include the keyword “systematic review"
