Some ebooks have a limited number of copies available. To ensure the content of a limited-user ebook is available for as many people as possible, please download the portion you need and then close out of the book to free it up for the next person.
Downloading a chapter
- Scroll through the table of contents to locate the chapter(s) or section(s) you need.
- Select the Download icon in the table of contents.
- You may download by the chapter or by a page range.
Download limitations are determined by the publisher and refresh every 24 hours. If you’ve reached the publisher’s download limit for the day and attempt to continue downloading, a notification will appear letting you know that the publisher page limit has been reached. Please try again the following day.
For more detailed instructions, see the Ebsco support article, "Downloading an eBook Chapter as a PDF on the New EBSCO Interfaces."
Using the Read Online function
If you have downloaded your allotment of pages from an eBook, you can still read it online. Please be aware that reading the eBook online may prevent others from accessing it if it is a limited-user eBook. Please remember to close out of the book as soon as you are finished reading.
For more detailed instructions, see the "eBook Viewer" section of the Ebsco support article "EBSCO eBooks on the New EBSCO Interfaces User Guide."
Restrictions
Some publishers do not allow ebooks to be downloaded. Those ebooks are only available to read online.
