OHSU digital books are hosted on the library website instead of through an external platform, which makes accessing and using these eBooks a little different.
Viewing an OHSU Digital Book
1. Search for the title in the library catalog.
2. Find your title in the brief results and select.
3. Sign in to your library account under "View Online." Any usage restrictions will be noted here.
4. Once you have logged in, you will return to the "View Online" screen. Select the file, and you will be taken to the digital version of your book.
Session Information
Your session may be timed. Remaining session time can be found in the top right corner of the gray title bar. If no one is waiting for the book, you will be offered the option to renew your session.
If you are done with the book before your session expires, please click the "Return Early" button, so that the book is available to others.
Using the Wait List
If your digital book has limited access and another user is viewing the book, you will be notified.
Click on the notification to join the waitlist. An email with a link to the digital book will be sent once the book is available again. You'll have 10 minutes to respond before the book is released to other users.
