If you’re being redirected to an OHSU Library login page that blocks your access, a tool or browser extension is probably adding an old OHSU link prefix. Try these solutions to the most common causes:

1. Try another browser

  • If the problem only happens in one browser → it’s likely a browser extension and Step 2 should fix the issue.

  • If it happens in all browsers → it could also be a saved setting in Google Scholar, PubMed or your citation manager. You will need to run through every step.

2. Check for browser extensions that modify URLs

Look for these extensions in your browser toolbar. If you find them, disable and test again:

  • Zotero Connector

  • EndNote Click

  • Mendeley Web Importer

  • RefWorks, ReadCube, Paperpile, or similar tools

Remove them if you no longer wish to use them. Follow our instructions to update your settings in the  Zotero Connector browser extension or the EndNote Click browser plugin to continue using them.

3. Check Google Scholar

Go to scholar.google.com → Menu → Settings → Library links.
Uncheck all libraries and save, then try again.

4. Check PubMed / MyNCBI

Follow the PubMed/MyNCBI acccount instructions.

5. Check your citation manager’s resolver or library‑link settings

If you use a desktop citation manager (e.g., Zotero, EndNote, Mendeley):

  • Open the application’s preferences or settings.

  • Look for tools labeled resolver, library link, OpenURL, or Find Full Text.

  • Remove the old OHSU link resolver, Login.liboff.ohsu.edu. Update it using our instructions for Zotero or Endnote

These settings can overwrite or redirect links even if your browser looks fine.
