Q. Will I have access to OHSU Library's electronic resources after I graduate?

Because of licensing restrictions imposed by publishers, we do not allow alumni free access to OHSU Library e-resources at this time.

Fortunately, by virtue of the NIH Public Access Policy and the fact that many journals are opening up their material to open access use, there are a number of freely available resources online; look for icons in PubMed that say “free full text," “open access," or “PubMedCentral."

If you are in need of material owned by the OHSU Library, you can sign up for a Loansome Doc account and obtain material through our interlibrary loan service. You are also welcome to come to the Library in person.

Also note that as an Oregon-licensed health professional, you can register with OHSU Library and receive access to AccessMedicine. If you are an Oregon-licensed MD or DO, you also have access to an article delivery service that allows for ordering full text journals through PubMed.
