Q. My course requires an ebook that's available in the OHSU Library, but sometimes I can't access the content when I log in. How can I use it?

We try to purchase unlimited-user ebooks whenever possible, making it easy for everyone in your class to use the book as needed.

However, some ebooks have a limited number of copies available. If an ebook’s copies are all in use, you will not be able to access the content.  

To ensure the content of a limited-user ebook is available for as many people as possible, please download the portion you need and then close out of the book to free it up for the next person.

Some tips for using limited-user ebooks  

• You can select a chapter or a subsection of an ebook to download.
• The number of pages available for download is set by the publisher. 
• After clicking on the link in the catalog, you can usually see these limitations on the landing page.
• Page limitations reset every 24 hours.
